VANCOUVER, Apti! 25. Tho spirit of the averago Canadian: rebels against the conferring of titles upon resident Canadians, and once mora tho subject has been under discussion is the House of Commons "in Ottawa. Last year's dobate left the matter in abeyance through Sir Robert Borden threatening to resign should the members persist in their endeavour to pass a resolution prohibiting any further titles'being '%« posed' on > Canadians. In tho discussion, one member, Mr. R. L. Richardson, moved N an amendment that all hereditary titles should cease in Canada on the demise of the present holder of such titular distinction. When in England he had discussed tho question with Mr. Lloyd George. Tho latter was opposed l to establishment of hereditary titles,' but ho had no objection to temporary titles conferred on men for somo distinction they had won. Mr. Richardson said' the British Primo Minister would die a plain man of the people. The Acting.-Prime Minister, Sir Thomas White, intimated that no moro titles would be conferred on Canadians except) on the recommendation of the Prirao Minister.
