Various suggestions were made by Inspector Bennet, of tho Health Department. , It was decided to accept the offer by the Defence Department of the barracks for a hospital, and to arrange for the Oddfellows' Hall to be used as a subsidiary hospital. A list of persons willing to loncl iron bedsteads is to bo obtained, and it was decided to advertise for those willing to lend O". hire hospital utensils if required. Jhose willing to act as helpers arc to be asked to send in their names, and intimate whether tlioy roquiro payment or not. Owners of motor-cars are tc be asked for the use of their cars on the understanding that petrol ■nil be supplied free, and damage made good. When tho question of arranging for tho supply of thermometers, drugs, and other necessities was discussed, Mr. A. K. Mannine said he thought the Government should have these things in readiness, and it should not be necessary lor the committee to have to find out from private firms what stocks they carried.

Tho committee that acted previously vr.-s re-elected, with power to odd to its number, and was instructed to ask tho Health Department what it van doing in retard to providing articles required by patients, ft was also decided to ask the Health Department to have a supply of masks manufactured and kept in readiness.
