INCREASED WAR BONUS.

SOUTHERN APPLICATIONS.

METAL WORKERS' DEMANDS. fllT TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] CHRIBTCHURCH. Tuesday Application for an increased war bonus under the War Regulations Act was made to-day in the Arbitration Court by the secretary of the Tinsmiths and Sheet Metalworkers' Union. It was stated that a complete agreement had been arrived at before the Conciliation Council, but the union now desired an increased bonus. The employers' representatives asked that this application be heard at the next sitting of the Court. The unicn must prove that the bonus was necessitated by the increased cost of living. The president said the union could not make immediate application. A vote of its members must be taken first. The Court would hear this and similar applications by other unions next Monday.
