Tho three matches completing the belt series were fired to-day, and an extra match for men who had not won more than 30s topped off the day's work. Shooting begun in a, variable light, with a puzzling j wind from the rear. A notable feature of tho meeting is the absence of " possibles." The two matches at 800 yds to-day yielded the best cards, 49 being scored by Lieutenant Williamson in the Nelson Match and Presidont in tho Otago Match. . , Great interest was shown in these two matches, as this range will bo used to try out the final 50 in the contest for tho TCiufT l( i Prize With the completion of the Canterbury Match it was possible to discover the winner of the Trentham Aggregate in tho person of the champion, R. J. King, of Opaki, who scored 402, followed by a young Christchurch Club man, P. Morgan, four points away. , I The service championship was decided I this afternoon, and to-morrow morning the firing of the Champion Teams' Match will clear the way for tho big event, the King a Prize Match.
