I « _ AUCKLAND GRAMMAR SCHOOL QUESTION OF A SITE. (From the HEEAID of December 23, 1868.) There seems to be a considerable difference of opinion as to which would be the best Bite for the Grammar School. What is wanted is a site which shall be as centrally situated as possible for the three suburbs.—Parnell, Newton, and Deawood. The Immigration Barracks lie too far to the west, the Paraell Rise a great deal too far the other way. Some other site between the two i* clearly needed. There happens at the present time to be a suitable building on the very best possible site.' The Wesley College, built for and in every respect suitable to such a purpose, may be had or. reasonable terms by the committee. We do net see that a better position could be obtained. It is easily accessible from the city and suburbs, is situated in a high, open, and healthy position, and has a considerable area of ground surrounding it. The building and grounds may be leased on easy terms, and we do not see that the commissioners could make a better selection.
