ALLAN.—Iri loving memory of our dear nephew, Private James E. W. Allan, who d.ed of wounds somewhere in France, on September 23, 1916; aged 20 years and 11 months. Far away from those who loved him, Comrades gently laid him to rest. In a far-away grave he is sleeping, One of God's bravest and best. —Inserted by his loving uncle and aunt, 3. and H. Wangh, Tokomaru Bay. DAVIS.—In proud and loving memory of Riflleraan Sydney Davis, who died of wounds in Franco, September 23, 1916; aged 21 years. He died as he had lived, doing his duty.
