FIGHTING SUBMARINES ON THE AMERICAN COAST.

Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON. June 18. Advices from an Atlantic port state that an incoming steamer reports the destruction of a submarine, which received a clean hit from one of the ship's guns. Officers of an American submarine, state that they saw a submarine on Friday off Virginia Capes. The American submarine discharged a torpedo, and later saw oil on the water. It is believed that she sank the German submarine.
