PAN.MURE BOATING CLUB.
ANNUAL REGATTA.
The annual rogatta and aquatic sports, under tho auspices of the Panmure Yacht and Boating Club, were held on Saturday afternoon on tho Tamaki River. There was an exceptionally largo attendance, two ferry boats being filled to their utmost capacity with picnickers. Tho various events wero well started and good competition was witnessed. Tho results of the various races and competitions are as follows: —
Capt. Whitney's Man-overboard Competition: Kismet (J. Hotham, owner). 1; Miro (J. Vaune, owner), 2; Shamrock (E. Kilgour, owner), 3.
Ladios' Dinghy Race: Miss L, Whitney, 1; Miss B. Peterson, 2; Miss M. Whitney, 3.
ROWING RACES. Maiden Fours: Hamilton (W. , Fitzgerald, Buckingham, Sowman, Jaquos), 1; Auckland (Cooke, Stovonßon, Bonjamin, Basham). 2.
Maiden Double Sculls: Auckland No. 1 crew lHamilton and Carder). 1; West End (Bowring and Hunter), 2.
Maidon Fours: North Shore (Swinnerton, Harty, White, Fairgray), 1; Hamilton (Fitzgerald, Magill, Buckett, Bettley), 2; Auckland (Hugill, Hamilton, Murray, Benjamin), 3. A good race, won by half a yard.
Junior Fours, any weight: Waitemata, 1; West End, 2. Won by barely a length.
Youths' Fours: Hamilton, 1: North Shore, 2: West End, 3. Won by quarter of a length.
Invitation Fours: Hamilton. 1; Waiteniata, 2; North Shore, 3. A good race.
RICHMOND CRUISING CLUB.
A general handicap harbour race was held on Saturday afternoon under tho auspices of tho Richmond CruisinE Club. There were eight starters. The Sadie was first away, followed by tho Bluostreak. Wayward, and Varuna. with the Spray last. The results are: —
Sadie, 4h 57m, 1; Wayward, fih 18m 40s, 2: Bhiostroak, 3. Also started: Celox, Varuna. Spray, Decima. Emily.
N.Z. POWER-BOAT ASSOCIATION.
A cruising race to Arkle's Bay was held on Saturday afternoon under tho auspices of the New Zealand Power-boat Association. The weather was perfect, and there was a good muster of craft. The vessels wero started at three o'clock by the threo flag system. Anzac and Tarua. gained first advantage with Grelchen. Countess, and Surf bringing un the rear. The finishing post at Arkle's was between tho launch Princess Pat and a dinghy moored north. Finishing timeß were taken by Messrs Cunningham and D'Authrau. The Drayton and Waiata were non-starters. The result* of the race are:— Ansae, 4h 30m, 1; Countess, 4h 4fJm 625, 2; Gretchen, 4h 49m 455, 3. Also started: Surf, 4h 47m 10s; Turua, 4h 28m 595. The last-named launch was disqualified for noncompliance with the rules of the association, i her club burgee not being hoisted.
