The Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association invite .the cittsens of Auckland to attend a Public Meeting at the Town Ball TO-MORROW (Friday), to consider the question of raising funis for Erection of Permanent Club in AucKland. The Returned Soldiers; Association proposes to take Immediate Stops to perpetuate the memory of fallen heroes by providing a commodious hall, with the necessary offices, where returned men may.r.eet to discuss matters, of business, and for purposes of social intercourse and comradeship. The Returned Soldiers Association is strongly of opinion that the matter of an adequate fitting soldiers memorial may be smothered In a flood of complimentary talk unless the Association keeps it steadily in view. The comradeship of brothers-in-arms will not end with the war. and for that reason alone a permanent meetingplftoe is both desirable and necessary. It is hoped that wives, mothers., and sisters of absent soldiers will make a special effort to be present. Seats will be reserved for next of kin of men who have tfiven their live* for the Empire during the present war. Tickets for these seats will be obtained on application at the Soldiers' Club, Sneakers: Bishop Averill. C. J, Parr, Esq,, C.M.G.. M.P.; C H. Poo e. Esq.. M.P.: P. J. Nerhenv, Esq.: C. Waddingham.
