THE TAUMAEUNUI CUP. As a result of the victory registered by Glonopal in the Takapuna Cup, she was rendered liable to be rehandicapped for the Taumarunui Cup, in which she was originally awarded 9st. Mr. E. Wyny&rd has raised her impost to 9st 9lb.
AUSTRALIAN HANDICAPS. A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE, Jan. 30. In the weights for the Newmarket Handicap, six furlongs, Desert Gold is at the top, with 9st 13lb. . Other New Zealand horses have been weighted as follows Biplane 9st 41b, Eillem 6st 18lb, Beltane 6st 111b.
In the Australian Cup, two miles and aquarter, Lanius heads the list with 9st Blb. The Now Zealand horses have been awarded imposts as follows:—Desert Gold 9st 4lb Kilboy 9st lib. Biplane Bst 91b, Red Pennant 7st slb, Killcm 7st. In the Oakleigh Plate (five furlongs), Colugo is at the top with 9st 12lb, Beltane being awarded 7st 61b.
