FINLAND IN THE THROES OF FIERCE CIVIL WAR.
GOVERNMENT REPLACED BY BOLSHEVIK DICTATOR FOREIGN CONSULS FORCED TO LEAVE HELSINGFORS. Australian and N.Z. (Received 8.15 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 29. The Stockholm correspondent of the Daily Chronicle states that civil war is in progress in Finland. The Red Guards organised a revolution, overthrew the existing Government and the Diet, and established a proletariat dictator, with the assistance of the Bolshevik Government. A great fight is proceeding in Viborg, with much bloodshed' The Red Guards occupied the railway station at Helsingfors, and cut the telegraph cables. All foreign Consuls have left the town.
