ITALIANS STORM A HEIGHT EAST OF ASIAGO.

An Italian official report states: We stormed a height yesterday east of the Asiago Basin. We broke through positions at several points, overcoming a stubborn defence and subsequently resisting violent counter-offensives, taking 1500 prisoners. Our artillery co-operated with our allies in dispersing reinforcements in Nos Campomulo Valley. Our aircraft everywhere proved superior to the enemy. We brought down 12 machines. A German official wireless• report states: The Italians attacked between Asiago and the Brenta. An attack was broken at Monte Sisemol. A counter-attack regained Mount Di Val Bella, on which the enemy had secured a foothold. We threw back the enemy at Col. de Brosso, and between Frenzela and the Brenta. We dropped 21 tons of bombs on Castelfranco, Treviso, and Mestre on Saturday night. fires were observed.
