BRITISH SNIPPING LOST.

MINED IN MEDITERRANEAN FORTY PEOPLE DROWNED. A. and N.Z. PARIS, Jan. 29. The steamer Dromoe has been mined and sunk near Marseilles, and also a trawler. Forty lives were lost. Thero were passengers aboard the Dromoe. STEAMER BREAKS IN HALF. SINKS IN FOUR MINUTES. LONDON, Jan. 29. Tho steamer Cork, torpedoed on Sunday night, had 42 passengers and crew on board. The torpedo exploded in the engineroom. The vessol immediately broke in two and sank in four minutes. Twenty-four persons scrambled into the boats. LOSS OF THE ANDANIA. CONFLICTING REPORTS. LONDON. Jan. 29. The Cunard liner Andania has been towed to a port in the North of Ireland. A later report states that she sank on Sunday night.
