SHIPMENT OF HEMP.

VESSELS FROM AUSTRALIA. [by telegraph.— association^ WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The High Commissioner has telegraphed in regard to hemp that the Imperial authorities understand that French ships are running from Australia to France, and suggest that hemp should be shipped to Australia in local steamers for reshipment by that route. They state that, in view of the inward tonnage situation, it is considered most undesirable for such hemp to be taken to the United Kingdom for reshipment.
