I Judgment was delivered in the Supreme | Court to-day bv Mr. Justice Chapman in I a Wanganui case of Murray v. the New I Zealand Refrigerating Company, praying ' for an injunction to restrain the defendant | company from creating a nuisance inimical I to the health and general •welfare of resi- ! dents in the neighbourhood of the Imlay ■ freezing works, and claiming damages i therefor. The Court found that the nuis ! ances complained of did exist, and granted ' an injunction restraining defendants from ' permitting the discharge of _ offensive i matter on to the beach, or allowing smells to issue from the works, also allowing conditions to exist which attracted undue numbers of flies. Damages were assessed at £200, and costs were fixed as on an action for £700.
