OLD OFFENDER'S FRESH CRIMES. [lit TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON Tuesday. To charges of attempting to obtain, and obtaining, goods by false pretences, John Ranskie, alias Robinson, pleaded guilty at the Police Court to-day. He was sentenced to six months' imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent. Senior-Sergeant Cassells stated that aocused was an old offender, and that in 1913 he was declared a habitual criminal. He was liberated in 1917, and again commenced to prey upon the public.
