NEEDY HOSPITAL PATIENTS.
BENEVOLENT FUND INAUGURATED A public meeting will be held on Thursday night next in the Town Hall concert chamber to devise ways and' means of assisting the hospital patients' benevolent fund. The promoters hope there will bo a large gathering, as the cause of needy hospital patients should appeal to all, even in these days of pressing demands on the public purse. A committee, headed by Mr. W. G. Bauer, has the various preliminary matters well in hand, and it is proposed to inaugurate a campaign in aid of the fund early in March. Suggestions and assistance in any form will be welcome and discussed at'the meeting,
