DOUBLE ATTACK ON LONDON

ITALIAN TOWNS BOMBED POLITICAL STRIFE IN BERLIN NEW ZEALANDERS REPULSE Mill t Two raids were made on London by enemy aeroplanes on Monday night. Farther attacks on open towns in Italy have been made by AustrO'German airmen. The raids made no pretence of military objectives, as the bombs were dropped from above thick clouds. Six attacks were made on Treviso, where several houses were destroyed and 15 civilians buried. Bombs dropped at random on Mestre struck three hospitals. Since the end of November the British forces in Italy have destroyed 39 enemy aeroplanes. Fire British machines are missing.
