REGATTA AT HAMILTON.

AUCKLAND ROWERS COMPETE , [BI TELEORAPn.—OWN COKRESrONDENT.] HAMILTON. Monday. A regatta under tho auspices of the Hamilton Rowing Club and the Returned Soldiers' Association was held to-day. The weather was overcast, but fino. Thero was a largo attendance. Prior to the opening of the tournament the member for the district, Mr. J. A. Young, unveiled a roll of honour of rowing club members, 42 of whom are serving their country, six having made tho supreme sacrifice

A considerable number of Auckland people were present. In addition to tho local rowers, there woro competing teams from Auckland, Whangarei. and Aramoho. Of tho Auckland cliios, the most successful was tho North Shore Club, which came first in threo events and second in. another. The Auckland Club secured two firsts, two seconds, and a third. The Waitomata Club registered a second and a third, and West End a third.

The following were the results of tho various events: —

Novice Fouls; Aramoho 1. North Slioro 2, Whangarei 8. Six started. Won by "a, foot

Maiden Pair Oar; Auckland 1, Aramoho 2, Whangarei 3. Won by a length. Maiden Fours: Hamilton 1. North Shore 2, West End 3. Won by two lengths. Junior Pairs: Aramoho 1. Whangarei 2. Won by two lengths, Maiden Fours (open): North Shore 1, Auckland 2, Hamilton 3. Won by a length. Senior Pairs (open): North Shore 1, Hamilton 2, Auckland 3. Won b"y two lengths. Swimming Race, lOOYds: Patterson 1, Gilmour and Rrickingham (dead heat) 2. Challenge Fours: Aramoho 1. Whangarei 2, Waitemntn 3. Won by two lengths. Springboard Dive: Gilmour 1, Booth 2. Maiden , Douhlo Sculls: Auckland 1, Whnngaroi 2, Aramoho 3. Won by a length. Swimming Raco, 200 Yds: Greene 1. Peebles 1.

Senior Double Sculls: Hamilton 1. Auckland 2, North Shore 3. Won by six lengths. Junior Fours: Aramoho 1. Waitemata 2, Wbnngnroi 3. Won by three lengths. Single Sculls: St. Clair, Hamilton, 1; Rooso, Mercer, 2. Won by a length and a-half.
