BOILERMAKER CRUSHED. DIES IN THE HOSPITAL. [by telegraph.—press association.] DUNEDIN, Monday. A Boilermaker named John Curron was accidentally crushed in the crankpit of a steamer at Port Chalmers on Friday. He died in the hospital yesterday. THROWN OUT OP TRAP. HEAD OF FAMILY KILLED. Mr. Harris ; was driving in a trap when the horse | became unmanageable and bolted. Mr. I Harris was thrown from the trap, and 1 sustained injuries to the head and shoulders. He was admitted to the hospital, but his injuries were so severe that he died at 3.45 p.m. Deceased leaves a widow and large family. TREACHEROUS UNDERTOW. YOUNG GIRL DROWNED. A six-year-old girl, Marjorie Ethel Gill, daughter of Mr. Robert Gill, farmer, of Chirtsey, met with a fatal accident this morning. A horse attached to a dray bolted, and the little girl was crushed between the wheels of the dray and a post, death being instantaneous.
