PETITION TO PARLIAMENT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT^ WELLINGTON. Thursday. A LARGELT-signed petition was presented to Parlament by the Hon. W. H. Herries to-day, asking that .he House consider whether means cannot be devised to push on the connection of Tauranga with the railway on the east of the - harbour by the construction of the harbour bridge, and to push on the connection of that portion of the East Coast Railway with the main system at Waihi.
