MANY BELATED APPLICATIONS.

WELLINGTON. Thursday. The Conference of the War Belief Societies passed the following resolution : That in the interests of returned soldiers, many of whom have failed to appreciate their rights of application for Government pensions, and therefore suffer, the Government be requested to make provision whereby soldiers should be required to lodge their applications for pensions, or signify that they do not require them, at th« time they receive their provisional discharge."
