A German communique states: There is activity on the Yser Canal and on both sides of the Ypres-Lys River, also between La Bassee and the Senses Brook. British reconnoitring advances south-west of Warneton, east of .Vermelles, and in the neighborhood of Loos failed. Three British attacks • east of Croisilles failed. Successful German enterprises have resulted in increased French artillery activity in the neighbourhood of Cerny, also in sectors of the Aisne front, and the Western Champagne, THE BALKAN FRONT. LONDON, June 18. A German communique states The Bulgarians repulsed several British attacks , south-west of Lake Doiran.
