Disabled soldiers who have returned from) ( the front, and their relatives will be ■ interested in the demonstrations of the < McKay Artificial Arm that are to' be ( given at the Surgical Appliance DtDart- , went of Messrs. Wiseman and Sons, » Limited, Albert Street, near Street. The inventor of this appli- , once, Mr. P. M. McKay, is going to ; England shortly at the instigation of the ( Dominion Government, to demonstrate his i invention to the Home authorities, and, , being armless himself, will be able to give j ocular proof of the practicality of his in- ; vention. It is claimed that with the McKay Artificial Arm a disabled man can engage in any trade requiring the me of both hands without suffering any handicap from his disability. He can dig, rake, use a saw or hammer, and, in fact, handle any tool with the dexterity of a whole-limbed mechanic. Mr. McKay has only a few days in Auckland, and it ' is at the request of many who know his , invention that this demonstration is being ( riven this afternoon, between 2.30 and ( 3.30, and this evening between 7.30 and 8.30.
