SINKING A SUBMARINE.

FISHING SMACK'S FEAT. PARIS. May 80. The newspaper Illustration declares that a patrolling fishing smack saw a submarine attacking an unarmed vessel. It steamed up to the scene of the attack, but was fired en. A shot from the submarine struck the smack, but the gunner heroically continued the fight, when a lucky shot holed the submarine as it was preparing to submerge. Subsequently it presented a target, on which shots rained until the submarine was destroyed.
