RETURNED SOLDIER'S DEATH.
SERVICE ON QALLIPOLI. The death occurred at the public hospital yesterday of a returned soldier, Private Ronald Henry Mayne, aged 36 years. Private Mayne was a native of the United States. He left New Zealand with the fifth reinforcements, and was shot through the lungs oh Gallipoli. He was invalided to England, and while at Brockenhurst Hospital married an English girl, who is still in England. He returned to New Zealand by the Willochra last September, and received his discharge some time ago. As the deceased has no relatives in Auckland, the Patriotic Society and the Returned Soldiers' Association have made arrangements for the funeral, which will take place at Waikumete to-day.
