BODY FOUND IN HARBOUR.

ELDERLY MAN'S FATE. NO CLUE TO IDENTITY.

At an early hour this morning Constable O'Sullivan, of tho Water Police, noticed somo olothing in the water behind one of the piles of the Hobson Wharf. He mado investigations, and discovered a coat, hat, and vest, and then discerned tho body of a man a few yards distant. The body was removed from the water, and it was found that it was apparently that of an eldprly man. There was no trace of decomposition, and the body had evidently been in the water only a short time. There was nothing in the pockets of the deceased to give any clue to his identity.
