ONE POUND NOTES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. , (Received 1 a.m.) LONDON, .Tan. 10. It is officially announced that Mr. Bertram Mackennal, the Australian sculptor has drawn a new design, including the King's head and '•iSt. George and the Dragon, for the new one pound currency notes, which will be issued on January 22. Mr. Bertram Mackennal designed the coronation medal and the coinago of tlio present reign. Ho was selected to design* the Edward /11. memorial in conjunction with Mr. Edwin Lutyons.
