PURCHASE OF RABBITS. BRITAIN TO TAKE SURPLUS. A. and N.Z. Cable. MELBOURNE, -Jan. 10. The Imperial Government has decided to purchase the surplus supply of frozen rabbits in 1917 after Australian requirements have been met. Details and the price have not yet been settled, but- the decision is expected to involve £500,000. EXCHANGE OF CIVILIANS. MELBOURNE, Jan. 10. Regarding the agreement for the exchange of interned enemy subjects, it is estimated that there are 300 Germans over 45 years of age interned here. It is not known how many Australians over 45 years of age are prisoners in Germany.
