The local employers received advice from Wellington headquarters yesterday morning to .j|| accede to the demand of the union, and -0 to grant two extra men for mutton load- m ing gangs. ( .-| A representative of the employers stated |i to-night that this trouble would have been J| settled earlier, only that employers here J did not want to take «ny steps without | the consent of other employers through- | out the Dominion. Consequently full par- -t| ticulars ■ were secured and forwarded to ■ f Wellington for consideration, with the | above result. J The labour men were to have entered *| into negotiations with the employers this fM morning, but the arrival of the above ad- j$ vice rendered this unnecessary.
