ONEHUNGA METHODISTS.
The quarterly meeting of the Onehunga Circuit of the Methodist Church was held last night. The Rev. C. C. Harrison presided over a record attendance of members. The number of members on the roll was given as 147 adult 1 and 6?' juniors. Encouraging reports were received of the Sunday-schools, especially of Penrose, where the number of scholars has risen to 71. The establishment of a new Sundayschool at Favona was authorised. The income for the quarter was £150 12s 4d, and the expenditure £163 2s lid, leaving a debit balance of £12 10s 7d. Mr. W. Johns was re-elected senior circuit steward, and Mr. C. E. Goode was appointed as junior steward. Mr. R. G. Laking was appointed as lay representative to the Methodist Conference to be held at Wellington. Special harvest festival services were arranged to be held on February 18. An invitation to hold the nest meeting of the Quarter Board at Manger* was received from the church there, and it was agreed to accept the same. j
