CATHOLIC CONVENTION.
At a public meeting of the Roman Catholics of Auckland, held in St. Benedict's Hail on Tuesday evening, it was decided to hold a diocesan convention in the city, to synchronise with the hallyearly meeting of the Dominion Council meeting of the New Zealand _ Catholic Federation, which takes place in Auckland on Wednesday. February 21. The convention will open in the Town mil the following evening, Thursday, and will take the form of a public meeting Addresses will be delivered by Catholic clergymen and laymen from all partsi of the "Dominion, on matters affecting Catholic interests. The duty of organising and ..- controlling the convention was delegated to the Auckland Diocesan Executive of r^.. the Federation
