AMERICAN FORECAST OF ASIATIC OPERATIONS. Keutw. WASHINGTON, Jan. 8. An official in close touch with the British Legation states that Palestine may be the next important theatre of war. The British army of the Suez is preparing to advance through Palestine to join the Russians in the Caucasus. The British are now further east of the Suez than ever before, while the Russians have reinforced their Tigris army pushing up the Mesopotaraian Valley.
