NEW PUMP FOR HAMILTON.
f-J HAMILTON, Saturday. A teiple-thbow, high-lift, electrically driven pump, which pumps to a height of 450 ft, having a delivery of 20,000 gallons a hour and a pressure of 150 ft to the square inch, has been secured by the Hamilton Borough Council for fire-fight-ing purposes, at a cost of £300. At a conference between the Hamilton and Frankton Borough Councils it was iesolved to connect the Hamilton reservoir with the Frankton water tower, and to improve the intake at the river to ensure a sure supply of water in the driest of weather.
