PRESENTATION.
Ai the parade of the Northcote National Reserve on Tuesday night Private A. Hurley, of the reinforcements, was the recipient of a souvenir from the members. The commandant, Captain W. C. Smith, made the presentation. Presentations of suitable souvenirs were ' made to Privates D. McGUp, C Pugh, Rj Binns, and N. Jory. of Birkenhead, at » ! social given in their honour in the Birkeni head Foresters' Hall last night, prior to j their departure on active service. The I Mayor of Birkenhead, Mr. J. P. McPhail. ; referred to the response that had been ' made from the Birkenhead district, which. j through their young men, had shown that i the district was second to none in patri- ' otic, spirit and loyalty.
