INSTITUTION AT RUSSELL.

The official opening of the Salvation Array Institution at Russell for the orphan sons of soldiers took place to-day, the ceremony being conducted by Commissioner Hodder. in the presence of a large number of residents. The institution, consisting of house and grounds, was the gift oi Mr. E. M. Whatman, of Master-ton. The building, which is to lie enlarged, and will be under the supervision of Adjutant Chapman, "ill accommodate 21 boys between the ages of two and ten.
