ANALYSIS OF FIGURES. NO LEAKAGE SHOWN. A-Jst. and N.Z. Cable. LONDON. August 15. Replying to a question in the House of Commons. Mr. L. V. Harcourt. President of the Board of Trade, said that Italy's imports of greasy wool from all sources in 1915 showed an increase of 43.569 metric tons compared with 1913. The imports of washed wool decreased by 1699 tons, and of manufactured wool by 19,677 tons. If the greasy wool imports were calculated in terms of washed wool, the net increase in imports would be under 10,000 tons of washed wool. The increase was largely due to the requirements of the army. Italy's production of , woollen materials in 1915 was eoni siderably above the normal, and the | export of manufactured woollens to i France had increased. There was ! no reason to believe that control | over exports to Switerland had j been ineffective. I ■
