WOMEN'S NATIONAL RESERVE.
PROMENADE CONCERT TO-NIGHT. { The Women's National Reserve, finding itself handicapped through lack of funds in making definite headway with the military and civil work undertaken, has arranged a promenade concert, to be given in the Town Hall to-night, in aid of the reserve's finances. The concert will be under the patronage of the Mayor. Mr. J. F. Gunson, Hon. G. W. Russell, Colonel Patterson, and members of his staff. The programme includes several novel features, and a number of musical items, recitations, dances, and an exhibition of fire-club swinging. The Auckland Orphans' Club ' . Orchestra will also contribute several l selections. For the convenience of suburban patrons special cars will run to the various suburbs at the close of the entertainment. The City Band will assemble at half-past seven, and march along Queen Street to the Town Hall.
