DARDANELLES INQUIRY.
PENDING COMMISSION. THOROUGHNESS PROMISED. Australian and X.Z. Cablo Association. (Received 7 p.ra.l LONDON. August 3. Speaking on the Dardanelles Commission Bill in the House of Lords, the Earl of Cromer said that if he found the strain of the commission to be over-heavy he would not hesitate to resign. Everything would be done to inquire into the conduct of the Gallipoli operations, and there would lie no '' whitewashing." The Bill was read a second time.
