BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.

Bank shares had sellers yesterday at recent rates, but no buyers appeared on the market. New Zealand Insurances had renewed inquiry at £6 ss, -with no declared sellers. Union Steams had recorded and reported business at 335, closing quotations being 32s 9d, buyers and 33s 3d sellers. Tonson Garlick scrip •was disposed of at 15s 6d.

Prices of mining shares were practically unchanged. Waihis were in demand throughout the day at 35s 6d, with no sellers under 365. Waihi Grand Junctions were again offered at 18s 9d, with buyers offering 9d less.
