OLD BOYS' UNION
Tee first animal general meeting of the | old bora of the Sacred Heart College. was held at t.ho college on Wednesday i evening. There were a largo number ot j old boy present. Fathers Darren and McGean and several of the brothers were also present The rev. brother director of Hie college look the chair, pending the election of a president of the union. The chairman urged the formation of a union, and the keeping up of interest in its wet fare The proposed constitution was submitted to the meeting by the sub-corn mittee, which has had the re-organisation in hand, and was approved. The election of officers resulted as follows Patron Bishop Geary; president, Mr. H. E Quinri; vice-presidents, the Rev. Brother Director and Mr. W. Dervan; secretaries, Bex Brother Virgilius and Mr. J. A. Scott; treasurer, Mr. N. C. Sneddon, and to the Executive Committee were also appointed Messrs. J- Crosby, G. Hanson, . .and R. Collins. Mr. J. Donovan was 'appointed auditor. » A scheme for the appointment of du ;. trict representative in the country districts to keep in touch with old boys in the respective districts. ' and with the central executive in Auckland, was anH nounced. It was stated that 120 old boys if jf t "toe college were now at the front «r in training. A number of musical items wwe rendered.
