The hospital ship Maheno was brought out of dock at Port Chalmers on Friday afternoon, after being cleaned and painted and having a propeller shaft repaired. The Whakanta, which is expected at Auckland from New York about May 12, has 1200 tons of cargo to discharge here. The Victoria sailed for Southern ports last evening. She is duo back here on Ma;r 7, and is to sail the following day for Syd rey. The Te Anan completed loading for Lyttelton and Wellington, and Bailed last evening. She will load produce at Timaru on May 2, and at Lyttelton on May 3 for Auckland direct. She is due -back here about May 6. * Mr- C. Angus, for many years with the Union Company, during which tima ho was master of the Hauroto, Komata. and other vessels, and chief officer of the Maheno, is at present navigating officer of the steamer Dongarra now in port. Owing to the Baden-Powell having been found unsuitable for the Aucklacd-Ngunguru trade, she is to be withdrawn, and her place will be taken by auxiliary vessels of shallow draught. : After loading at Chelsea and tho Queen's Wharf for Oamsiii, the Bluß,, and Tiniaru. the Warrimoo sailed last evening. She will load produce at Oaraaru on April 29, at the Bluff on May 1 or May 2, and at Timaru on May 3 or May 4 .'or Auckland direct. She is duo here about May 7. THE HIMITANGI. The overhaul of the Himitangi wall not bo finished before early next week, says the Press Association, and she will probably sail from Wellington on Tuesday for the Chathams to load sheep and fish for Lyttelton and Wellington.
