IN MEMORY OF THE FALLEN
«s> HOSPITAL MATINEE. The Auckland Dramatic and Vaudeville Employees' Association is leaving no stone unturned to securo funds for the equipment of the children's hospital as a memorial to the soldiers, sailors, and nurses who have given their lives for the Empire. The association is meeting with the whole-hearted support of visiting theatrical companies, and in continuation of' the campaign a very talented band of i performers will appear at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday afternoon next, commencing at half-past two o'clock, when a patriotic matinee will be given. The fact that Mr. Julius Knight its to appear' should alone bo sufficient to secure a crowded house and a substantial addition to the fund. The popular actor and his supporting company will be seen in the first act of " Under Fire," which is one of the most successful of the J. C. Williamson productions. Artists from the Opera House, Miss Cicely Hall's pupils, and Master John Davis will also contribute to what promises to be a memorable enter, tainment.
