CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL.
CAMPAIGN FOR EQUIPMENT.
In connection with the Auckland Dramatic and Vaudeville Employees' Association's effort to raiso money for the equipment of the new Children's Hospital, a meeting was held in His Majesty's Theatre yesterday morning. A largo number of ladies were in attendance, representing the various patriotic organisations. Mr. W. 'G. Bauer, president of tho association, was in the chair, and Mr. C. H. Poole, M.P., was also present. Mr. Poole spoke, of the excellent object of the scheme, which would provide Auckland with a permanent and most fitting memorial to the men and women who had laid down their lives for their country, On the conclusion of his speech Mr. Poolo was accorded a special vote of thanks. v One of the proposals which is under consideration is that a special memorial —either in the form of a window or a cot —shall be erected to the memory of Nurse Cavel!. Those present were formed into a committee to support the association in its forthcoming campaign.
