NAVY LEAGUE.

Thz usual monthly meeting of the executive of the Auckland branch of the Navy League was presided over by Captain Thomas. A letter was received from Mr. Bannon, secretary of the London League, *nclosing a letter from Lord Beresford, in which he personally thanked the ladies of the league for their handsome donation •if £300 for the relief of sailors and their dependants, and also for clothing sent for their wives and children. Application was received from Miss Esam on behalf of several other young ladies to join tho league, and it is hoped in a very short time to have a strong junior branch formed.
