NEWS OF MISSING PILOTS
CAPTURED OFF HOLSTEIN.
SNOWSTORM AND HEAVY SEA.

Letters have been received from the two British aviators who were reported to be missing after the raid on March 25 on the German airship stations on the Holstein coast. They show that the seaplanes had already completed their work over the sheds and were steering homeward in a heavy snowstorm when Lieutenant Reid saw Lieutenant Hay struggling in the water beside his machine. He planed down and haidcd Lieutenant Hay aboard with great difficulty owing to the heavy sea and the fact that he • was numbed by the cold., All the time they were under five.,Then Lieutenant Reid's.machine' refused to leave the watcr^(An>enemy:, warship came up, and/the aviators surrendered. ... • -■-• ••'.;■..
