HOCKEY.
NOTES 'AND COMMENTS. The Mount Eden Club will practice at Hemuera. to-day, and the following will play against Gordon at 2 p.m.:—D. Grayson. Ash, Rankin, Roberts. Longdale, Sheffield. McMurtrie. Pres;:on, Alexander (2),. Lynch. _ The following team will represent StLuke s in the match against Areta at Bemuera to-day :-Rich, .Hewlett, J. Burnett, D. Burnett, B. Garrard, W. Garrard, Dally. Wattam, faeisen, J. Wattam, Harvey. The players are requested to wear white shirts. Some of the local hockey teams have already been -out for practice. The early start suggests that much interest will b» displayed in this season's operations.
LADIES' NOTES. The annual ineoting of tlio Auckland Ladiea' Hockey Association, arranged for April 27, will now be held at tho Training College on April 26, at 8 p.m. Clubs may now practico at Rcmuera grounds on Wednesdays and Saturdays, subject to the approval of the groundsman. A new club is being formed at, Dcvonport, and one or two other new entries are not unlikely.
