TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
SEAMEN IN OPEN BOAT. The steamer Caerloch,' which arrived at Christiania recently from the Tyne, reported having rescued two Scotchmen from a lifeboat. The Caerloch observed a boat containing apparently three lifeless bodies. Tho gale hindered the launching of a boat, and it was necessary to bear down sufficiently near, It was then seen that two of the'men were alive. One,' the oldor/wns clinging to tho thwart so tightly that it was necessary to use force to disengage him. He was nearly dead. The other jumped into tho sea and was rescued. The third man was dead and was not taken on board. Tho two rescued were Alexander Davidson and Kenneth MacLeod, belonging to Peterhead. They were completely exhausted from thirst and cold. They were suffering from loss of memory, but explained that their ship, which sailed from Middlesbrough with a cargo of iron, had sunk. They had been two days and three nights 1 in the boat without food.
