EIGHT-HOUR PROCESSION.

The annual eight-hour demonstration was carried out to-day, in fine weather, large numbers participating. In the emblematic designs the display was one of the finest ever witnessed in Sydney. It was intermingled with the usual allegorical trade •displays, many of them bearing on the war and representing the part that the workers are playing in the struggle. A feature of the procession was the large number of soldiers in uniform who marched with their respective unions, besides a strong company of the ExpediI tionary Force, which was specially dei tailed to participate. The procession was I two miles in length. Great crowds of people assembled along the route to the sports ground, and gave the soldiers a splendid reception.
