COUNTRY AWAITING FACTS.
NEWSPAPER OBSERVATIONS.
London, September 12.
The Sunday Times says: "We await the report of the Cabinet committee, now considering the facts relating to the all-important question of national service. The country will not quarrel with its decision when it is accompanied, as it presumably will be, by information to which we are entitled. The country has refused to prejudge the question at the bidding of newspapers anxious to seize the reins of government, but has implicit confidence in the calm reasoned judgment of the men to whom it has entrusted its destinies."
